Aftercare for Permanent Makeup

You just got your beautiful power brows done, now what? How do you take care of them so they look fresh and frame your face nicely. Every individual is different and every person heals at a different rate. Some people heal within 5-7 days, while others may take 10 or more days to heal. Please allow up to 14 days for your brows to heal and return to your regular routine on day 15.

Aftercare for micro blading & aftercare for powder brows

What to Expect over the next 14 days

  • Day one brows may be painful, swollen, and appear to look thick
  • Day two to five brows may look too thick and dark
  • Day five to ten brows will scab and flake
  • Day 10 - 15 brows appear to be faded or gone
  • Day 15 - 30 brows appear to return patchy
  • After touch up, brows look great!

General Aftercare Instructions

  • Ice packs protected with a cloth may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling
  • Sleeping slightly elevated helps alleviate swelling sometimes seen the morning after facial procedures
  • Wash your hands before touching any treated areas.
  • Cotton tipped applicators may be used to gently cleanse the area and if need apply Aquaphor to the treatment areas a few times a day. Less is better.
  • A few hours post you may pat any residual blood or lymph from the area
  • Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.
  • You may use Vaseline two to three times a day; we recommend you use Aquaphor

  • No sweaty workouts!
